I knew Jim from a college internship I had at SAI Comsystems in Pomona in the early 80's. He was such a dear man with a sharp mind, a quick wit and a twinkle in his eye. He taught me very early in my career that laughing hard (and often) at work was not inconsistent with a strong work ethic and a high level of contribution. Such a special, influential man who I had the distinct privilege to encounter and learn from in my formative professional years. Godspeed, Jim.

Jim was my boss at SAIC Comsystems in the 1980s. He was fun, funny, quick, kind, smart, and had the bluest of blue eyes that twinkled when he laughed. I send my condolences to his family and friends.

Dress Like Jim Prock Day at SAIC Proposal Center. We all loved him so much.

Jim hired me at SAIC 26 years ago and of all the Managers I have had, he was the best. He always had a smile on his face, even on the worst proposal days and he would make you laugh when you were at your wits end and ready to give it all up. You will be missed, Jim, by so many of us here at SAIC. Rest in peace dear friend.

Jim's SAIC staff knew when they had someone special for a manager. His rare sense of humor kept us going on the most difficult days. If you were close to bludgeoning a team member with a sharp heavy object, he would divert your misery with a sidesplitting quip. If the staff didn't have time for lunch then he would plan a day to treat us to Island's for a greasy hamburger. We'll never see another like him. So Jim, if the dearly departed can read the internet then know you are greatly missed....

I first met Jim at the SAI Comsystems Office in Pomona, California back in 1976. Jim was one of the kindest and funniest people that I had ever met. Besides his work, his joy was in his family and when he talked about his children, his eyes would sparkle with a smile that filled the room. Jim and I would entertain the staff on Friday evenings after work with stand up comedy while we shared a few beers. I remember him sharing some of his essays and satires with me, and he was one of the...

I am so grateful to have met Jim. He was genuinely kind and always pleasant. Despite his endless responsibilities in the SAIC Proposal Center, Jim made time to enlighten the hearts of so many of us. He will be remembered through the fondest of memories.
