I've had the honor of knowing Jim for nearly 50 years. If you liked to talk "cars", Jim's garage was the place to be on Saturday mornings. We fished together on many Minnesota and Wisconsin openers and even wound up on the Bonneville Salt Flats trying to set speed records.

We swapped many stories along the way and had many enjoyable moments. Jim was unique in every way and truly one of the most gifted, thoughtful and intelligent people I've ever met.

I am truly blessed to have spent many hours designing with Jim. I will miss him insight and humor and will celebrate the knowledge and friendship he has given me. I promise to measure twice, maybe three times, and cut once.
