Jimmy Purves was my best friend for nearly40years.We shared so many happy times together - the laughs when we both got into bother, the shared memories of success and the odd failure, and of our many mutual friends we made together with good old 230 RCT and the District and Specialist Training Teams Scotland. He was one of a kind I first met him at 230 Sqn I was just promoted to Ssgt they where going to BAOR onEx they where short of a Ssgt I went through and met Jimmy he was SSM that was the start of a frenship that lasted till the day he was he was always there if I needed advice I will miss him R.I.P my Friend
