Not sure what to say?

I am devastated that I did not know that Jim was living in Mt. Pleasant or of his death. I gave up the daily Post and Courier last year because of its politics - which would have made him laugh. I would have wanted to say good-bye. God bless you girls.

Jim was a great friend to both my father and I. He always had everyone laughing. I will always appreciate his friendship.

I used to work with Quack. The day I left the law firm and was saying my good byes, I cried saying goodbye to him because I so enjoyed visiting him and talking to him. Afterwards, I would see him occasionally around town and whether he remembered me or not, he at least pretended to remember me. I always think of him with fond memories. Much peace to his loved ones during this time.

Peace be with the Quackenbush family during this difficult time.

DeVeaux, PerMar and Mrs. Brooker and I extenall Jim's Family:

Mrs. Brooker and I extend condolences to you at this time of Jim's death. DeVeaux, thanks for pointing out Rhoda's picture with all of you at the hunting scene a few years back. I note Jim was a veteranyou see fewer of these inclusions in more recent obituaries. Our generation was among the last of this type participation in the service of our country. I know Jim would have been interested, not necessarily thrilled, by...

I worked with Jim on the Mondale campaigns. We then worked together in representing private sector clients. Jim was a man of intelligence, creativity, dedication, and good humor. He was treasured, and he will be missed. Robert B. Barnett Washington, D.C.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim. We knew each other during our Dreher days. I remember him fondly May the family be comforted by so many who remember Jim and their own memories.

A good friend.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Quackenbush. Gone but not Forgotten.
