Just how big was "Big Jim?" In about 1948, when I was 5 years old, he put me atop his tall shoulders. My head nearly hit the hallway ceiling at 1908 Hunter Avenue. I remember Jim from his employment at Scott Paper Company back in the 1960's. He was a respected member of the Plant Engineering Department and well-liked by members of the engineering department and other departments they interacted with. I was a new employee in areas of Purchasing Department where I interacted with the engineering employees who placed orders for their projects materials from local vendors.
