I had the pleasure of knowing Luther during our shared experience at Boxwell, he was the Bear Patrol guide for MT-44. He shared his scouting knowledge and personal friendship to all. An Eagle Scout soaring through heaven, watching over scouts, and will be missed by all scouts everywhere.

To the family of Luther Ramsay:
Luther and I went to school together at UTM and were fraternity brothers in ATO. In the summer of '77 we were neighors at University Courts. We became very close friends that summer but drifted apart over the years. I spoke with Luther about 3 years ago....doesn't seem that long. We seemed to pick up right where we left off....Luther was like that , a great guy and a great friend. I'm a richer person for knowing Luther. My deepest sympathy to the family...

Jane and family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Luther and I were ATO pledge brothers at UT-Martin. I am also a Boy Scout leader and it sounds like he touched a lot of boys lives in that area. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Jane and family,
Jon and I were shocked and sadden to hear of Luther's death. We were unaware of his illness. Jon and I knew Luther from our UT Martin days. Jon was an ATO and I was an ATO "little sister". As a matter of fact, Luther was my "little brother". Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jane,
Shocked to hear about Luther. Did not know of his health problems. The last time I saw him- ya'll were moving overseas for his work ??? He was very fond of the boy's activities, their scouting, hunting, his muddy truck, etc. Please tell the boys that their Dad was a good man. Ya'll hang in there. I have sent out e-mails to the ATO's. I am out of town on Saturday. Give everyone a hug. He will be missed. The last time I saw him, he was smiling and happy-(just like the...

Jane and the boys,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I had the pleasure of witnessing James spend many hours working towards making scouting a rewarding experience for young men. His positive impact will carry on for generations to come.
