Not sure what to say?

I have happened upon this sad news quite unexpectedly. Also a member of the Ream family, an architect and professor, it is natural and desirable to reflect on Jim as a role model. Unfortunately, I was only graced with his presence and advice but a couple times in 1976 when visiting relatives. He toured us about San Francisco providing architectural and planning insights that took years to appreciate. We visited his family home and were welcomed warmly. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back and remember the wonderful moments we spent with him and the great life he had.
Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you Aunt Nancy and family during this difficult time.

Aside from his vision and talent in his chosen field of architecture, Jim was a kind and gentle person and a delight to have as a friend. He will be greatly missed by all and often remembered.
