Not sure what to say?

Even though I don't think I ever met James, we were cousins. My name is Linda Claire Hess Groshans daughter of Gretchen Ream Hess. My mother passed away in 2006. She was the daughter of Grover Ream. I live in Ann Arbor, MI. I have childhood memories of my Uncle John Ream and Aunt Edith. I have been trying to work on the Ream family ancestry. My deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of James and blessings to the Ream family!

I was very saddened to learn that Jim had passed away. The last time I spoke with him, he called me to inquire about any hurricane danger I might have been in. That was typical of Jim; concerned and caring. We were the closest in age of any of the Ream cousins, except for cousin Sally, so we were good friends growing up and beyond.
My sympathy and prayers go out to the family - especially Laurie, Jeff and John.
Barbara Rynerson, Cary, North Carolina

Jim was my mom's little brother. Uncle Jim always seemed like the perfect gentleman. Like me, he was a sports enthusiast and that was always a topic of conversion at family reunions. I last saw him at the Ream family reunion in 2012. He was in good spirits and seemed to be in good health. My prayers go out to his immediate family. Rest in peace, uncle Jim.

Jim and I had a great relationship. When he was a small child I spent a lot of time reading to him. As a adult, my husband and I played cards with Jim and Elvy. He was the brother I never had. Our families spent a lot together. Once when playing a game where each person would think of an object in the room and tell everyone the first letter in the name of the object, Jim said I am thinking of something that starts with the letter "F." After everyone had named everything in the room and could...
