REAMS, James N. Sr., 84, of Powhatan, died September 27, 2008. He is survived by five children, Judith C. Rigby (David), of Chesterfield, James N. Reams Jr. (Pam), of Powhatan, John Michael Reams of Washington, D.C., Eva T. Reams of Powhatan, David E. Reams Sr. (Penny), of Powhatan; four brothers, Harvey Reams, Richard Reams, Alex Reams, Nick Reams; one sister, Eva Gregory; six grandchildren, Carrie Johnson, Rebecca Coffman, Nathan Reams, Sarah Lawson (Timmy), Christopher Reams, Evan Reams; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlee and Joel Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services wil be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Red Lane Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Prevent Blindness America, 211 West Wacker Dr., Suite 1700, Chicago, Ill. 60606 or Powhatan Rescue Squad.
