Not sure what to say?

It was an honor and a privilege to have known Jim and to have competed with him in a number of races over the past 30+ years. We always shared dinner with a group of runners from the Slate Belt on the Saturday night before the Boston Marathon. He was a consistently great runner, and a great man - rest in peace, Jim. My deepest condolences to Sharon and the family.

I met Jim at a local 5k race a number of years ago. He was the fastest "older" runner in the Lehigh Valley for many years. I remember having nice talks with Jim after the races. He was humble, down to earth and one heck of a nice person. Rest in peace Jim.

A man with many interests, who touched so many lives whether in a gym/classroom on in a race. Thank you for sharing some of his garden treasures with me. I will always think of you both when they bloom. I am sorry, Sharon. Your best friend of 55 years-resting peacefully.

Sharon, I am so sorry for yor loss. I read Jims obituary. Soubds like a really nice guy. I wish I had gotten to know him.

Summer camp at the Rehrig´s was always fun. Jim had a gift for working with kids. Rest in peace, Jim!!

Sharon, So very sorry to hear about Jim. He and I began teaching at Warren Glen the same year...1970. He was a special person and I was privileged to know him. I know you will miss him. Will pray for you and your family.

Mr Rehrig...reading this I started thinking back to his days as our gym teacher at Warren Glen School. I pictured him with a whistle in his mouth and a ball on his hip. What a great roll model for all of us back in the day during the early 70's. A man of true character. May you find peace and comfort as you continue your journey, God Bless

I met Jim running races when I was 29 and he was 62. Despite always being one of the older participants, he was always near the front of the pack of finishers. He was ever the supportive friend and a solid competitor. I hope to one day pass on the inspiration to lead a healthy live of fitness that he shared with so many of us.

So sorry for you loss
