Dr. James "Doc" Reid

Dear Doris and family, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Jim, one of my very best friends from our days in Carlinville. From Boy Scouts to roaming in Taggart´s woods to sledding behind the Reid´s red barn to Blackburn and then UIUC, we were friends and colleagues. Sharing ideas and aspirations. I recall so well the Anglican dance where we double dated and Jim invited Doris. And then your wedding. And your and Jim´s travel to our wedding in Cambridge after our Harvard...

So sorry for your loss. Praying for all of you.

He was the best Doc around. He knew everyone and their families. When our Mom passed he was there for each and everyone of us. I think he took as hard as we did. He will truly be missed.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. My Dad (Gus) used to talk about how Jim would call him Uncle Gus at school even though there was not a large age difference between them...
