Dear family and Bert, I just learned of Jim's passing and am deeply saddened. He was one of my favorite people dating back to when he taught me at Cranwell Prep back in the mid 60's. I fondly remember him driving me to West Point to visit the academy as a potential football recruit. In later years, he taught my daughter in school and I was fortunate to have him teach in the Pittsfield summer school program which was not an easy task. He had a special gift for reaching kids at this age...
