Not sure what to say?

Remembering you and your family...you were an inspiration to many. Your kindness lives on in your children and grandchildren doing great things!

My heart and prayers go out to Amy and the entire Reynolds family. Every memory I have of Dr. Reynolds was filled with his wonderful demeanor. No matter what me and Amy were up to in the 80's, he was always kind and patient. He loved his family deeply and was truly present in each moment he was in.

So very sorry to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with you Debbie and all your family. He was a very special man. How fortunate Sioux Falls was to have such a talented surgeon.

Dr. Reynolds performed an operation on my wife's heart 31 years ago which has allowed us all these wonderful years together for which we are forever grateful and thankful for his brilliant medical powers. He was a wonderful person and I was also lucky to have him for a parent of Branden who played baseball for me in Bantam Baseball. He was a fine example of what a "little league" parent should be. Rest in peace Dr.

Jim Reynolds was a class act in so many different way. I had the honor to work with Jim on various boards in our city, and to share time together at various Ducks Unlimited events. The citizens of our city and state are better off because of the work and dedication of Dr. Jim Reynolds.

I started working at McKennan in the OR in 1980 and became part of the ❤ team when the program started. So many fond memories of both elective and emergent cases with Dr Reynolds. I always appreciated his calm demeanor and professionalism. He always put his patient first and treated the OR staff with respect. Dr Reynolds saved my fathers life which made him even more special to me. After his retirement whenever I would see him he always gave me a hug and asked how my family was doing. Well...

Was sad to see this. He was an amazing cardiac surgeon/physician. Enjoyed my interactions with him during my career in Radiology at Mckennan. He was also a very humble and Christian man. I will always have this memory of him from some 40 yrs ago: Our church (1st Presbyterian) offered a "Medical Ethics" class and he and his wife were in it. At the start of the 1st class, we went around the room introducing ourselves. When it came to him, this is what he said " My claim to fame is I am...

I worked with Dr. Reynolds at Sioux Valley Hospital in 1987 when I first started in critical care and will never forget his encouragement to be on “the heart team”. Always a humble man who would look you in the eye and embrace everyone’s combined skills to care for his patients! A loss, to me, when he left to go his greater venture-but was blessed to see him at Menards, or wherever, and was greeted with kindness and questions about family, dogs and home. Prayers to his family and friends on...

Smart, kind, energetic, family man, leader, fun loving, dedicated and caring are a few words that come to mind when thinking about Jim. Rick and I were thrilled when Jim and Debby agreed to sail with us and other dear friends in the Caribbean. It was a great trip filled with laughter, adventure and discussions about Statins (to the chagrin of the non-medical folks on the boat)! I can just see Jim and Rick picking up their friendship in some spiritual way, figuring out a way to deal with the...
