GASTON—Services for James Allen Richbourg, 75, of Gaston will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  Officiating will be Rev. Elford B. Roof, Sr.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Justin L. Hooks ROTC Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2044, West Columbia, SC 29171, make checks payable to AHSEF, memo JLHMS. 
 
Mr. Richbourg died Sunday, July 15, 2007.  Born in Sumter, he was the son the late Cecil and Naomi Richbourg.  He was a lifelong area resident and owner and operator of The Beef Barn, from 1995 until June, 2007.  He was a United States Veteran served during Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband and father, a man of great wit and strength, will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  
 
Surviving are is wife of 16 years, Lucia Son Richbourg of Gaston; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Curtis Hooks of Springdale, Regina and Donnie Gardner of Greensboro, NC, Nancy and Chuck Jones of West Columbia, Catherine Dawkins of Gaston, Rebekah Roberts of Texas; son, Gene Reed of Columbia; grandchildren, Joshua, Dakotah, Courtney, Zachary, Brittany, Taylor, Alexus, and Davin.  Mr. Richbourg was preceded in death by his grandson Justin Hooks.
