RICHERT, JAMES E.
Of Auburn, GA, formerly of Flint, MI, age 75, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Georgia. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Visitation 11 AM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. James was born in Flint on December 3, 1938 and was a resident of Flint most of his life. He lived in Traverse City, MI for four years. On September 26, 1980, he married Linda Cooper. Surviving are wife, Linda; son, Edward James; daughters, Pamela (Eric) Peltonen and Brittney (Daniel) Welch; grandchildren, Billy, Cameron, Devin, Nathan and Savannah; five great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Don) Licquia; brothers, Charles and Virgil. Justin and I are deeply saddened by Jim's passing. Justin looked up to Jim and thought the world of him. Since Justin lost his father many years ago, Jim became like a surrogate father to him. Everytime we went on vacation he would offer us to take his car or to send us money if we got in a jam.
