Weeks have now passed since Jim's transition to a non-physical life, and I am holding you in my heart as you deal with the hole left behind. Kathy, I was so sorry to read this in the paper. I know you're hearing from a lot of people and may not remember my name, but I'm David's mom, plus you've come to several of my poetry readings. Words seem to fail us, don't they, at the time of great loss, so let me just say that we will remember you and your family in our prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Jim's passing and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jim was one of a kind and a bright light and inspiration to anyone who felt like giving up when an unexpected tragedy happened. One of the strongest men, and family's, we have ever known.
