James "Jim" RivettGreen Bay - James Rivett, age 60, was a gentle soul and a peaceful man, who lived simply, loved joyfully, and gave generously. His outpouring to others often concealed his recent inner pain and struggle, which he fought bravely until August 23, 2018, when Jim died by suicide....

Not sure what to say?

I still think of Jim every now and then and the kindness he showed to me when I was young when I often took the shortcut home through his and Pete´s yard. And our last surprise run-in on Washington island.

Jim, you are often in my thoughts. So curious what we may have been playfully collaborating on, supporting others. I miss you my friend. Forever a light in my heart. Thank you.

My spirit will forever be grateful for having connected with yours, that connection will always bring me great joy. Fly free, my friend!

Thank you, Jim.

Pete,
There are so many thoughts and emotions that are flooding through me right now, as tears gather in my eyes. I want you to know that if I can be of any help to you, now or in the future, in any way (big or small) please reach out to me. I would truly be honored. I hope your spirit is shining bright!

Pete you may not remember me, but I volunteered at Danz library for a bit and had the pleasure of "working" with you. I enjoyed getting to you and then Jim while working for a company for whom he did graphic design. Although I did not know either of you extremely well I can only say I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of a great part of our community.

Like Jim, I attended St. Mary's of the Angels, but moved further to the East-Side of town, before having met Jim.

Loved dearly by family & endless friends, Jim obviously was a special soul. It would have been my pleasure to have met him in this life.

For those whose lives you have touched in so many ways big or small, we will never forget you. We love you still. Tom and Jan ( Weber) Bice-Allen

Mourning the loss of a friend today and forevermore (Jim Rivett). We worked in the ad biz together and have known Jim for over 30 years, first as a supplier to his agency, then competitor and friend.
The ad biz is a crazy one. Consistency is rare. Egos are high. Work days are fast pace. That is what makes it fun and challenging. What strikes me is my experiences with Jim show a strong pattern of consistency. Few people have consistently shared as many fruits of the spirit as well and in so...

Pete, my condolences. I did not know Jim but heard many lovely, fun stories, through the years, about the delight the two of you together brought to those around you. So sorry for your loss. He was loving and kind--so much like you. You are in my thoughts.

My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Pete and Jim's Family. Jim had touched so many hearts, including mine. He hired me to work for him when I just graduated from college. He looked out for me, knowing I did not really know anyone or my way around in Green Bay. He was such a fun and caring guy who made such a positive impact in the lives of everyone as well as the community. I will truly miss him.
