Sorry for you loss. I heard Butch speak and bought his book. I also went to West Edgecombe I was in the same class as his brother Mike. I remember when we heard about Butch' accident in Vietnam.

I have always admired the strength and courage of Butch. My husband (James A. "Shorty" Lynch - deceased} and I knew Butch for many years when he lived in Sharpsburg. I have his inspiring book. Sincere sympathy is extended to his family. He is one of the unforgettable.

I knew butch we all called him butch when we went to school to gather.then I married his cousin, years ago.l have seen him help everybody ,farmed his land.he worked just like every body else.he was a good friend, we will miss him dearly.best wishes to the ones he left be hind.

I have used Butch as an example to my US History classes for years now, not only as his story relates to Vietnam but also as an example of great character. My condolences to the family.

I met Butch a few times as I was friends with his son Josh Robbins. He always had a smile on his face. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

I have known Butch since I was 10 years old. We grew up in the same neighborhood. I am so sorry for your loss. I have also lost a very dear friend. My heart goes out to the entire family.

Butch was a good strong man who never let his disability stand in the way of hard work and determination. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him. RIP !!
