Not sure what to say?

A great friend and confidant. Missing him daily

Claire, I just read of Jim's passing in the SMU Magazine. I'm so sorry for you and your family and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim was like a second father to me as Lamar and I grew up. He always taught us to do the right thing, and he loved to have fun. I remember the old Cowboy TV antenna that was on top of the house so that he could watch every Cowboy game. I still feel bad about the time Lamar and I dumped 3 bags of leaves that he had raked all morning in his front yard so that we could play in them. Claire made us clean them up before he got back home. Having lost my father a few years ago, I know what it is...

Claire -

Liza and I will never forget hanging out with you and Jim at the Highland Park Pharmacy after a lunch at the countertop earlier this year (and working with you on the HPISD Centennial committee). We had such fun visiting with y'all, and, even though a few years fell between our graduations, we feel like the four of us were all classmates at HPHS.

We are saddened by your loss, and we will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer.

Love,
Liza & Jae Ellis

Claire, You and your family are our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss. Jim was a man with grace and boundless kindness. We will not forget him.

Claire,
You have both been in my prayers since volunteering at Zale Lipshy. I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. You'll be in my thoughts.

Claire, I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your sweet husband, Jim. I cannot adequately express to you what Jim's and your wonderful friendship has meant to my mother, Dorothy Ann! He was truly a rare gentleman and I know will be deeply missed, yet take comfort in knowing he is now in his heavenly home. May God comfort you and lift you up with the wonderful memories of your life together.

Claire, I was at the service which was a wonderful tribute to both you and Jim. He was a great guy and certainly enjoyed a wonderful life. All of us who knew him were blessed. We would have seen you at the reception but didn't know you had one. God Bless!
