I knew him as Major Rockey, my Commanding Officer at the 507th Transportation Co. GS (Acft Maint). I was his Avionics Platoon Leader from 1967 to 1969. I thought he was a great CO, and I liked and respected him a lot. His mentoring and influence has stayed with me throughout my life, and he will always be in my memory. Fly safely Major Rockey.

Rockey was a friend whom I met by being the recording secretary for the 458th TC from Viet Nam. I had dealings with him for many years. He was a person I could talk to all day long but that wasn't allowed. He is missed by many who never met him but enjoyed his presents. R.I.P. You are still remembered.

We have so many memories of Col Rockey. So many times he would drop in the museum´s office for a quick hello. And it was especially special when "Santa" knew our daughter Heather by name. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

I met COL Rockey about 1978 when he was president/chair of the TC marine licensing board and I was a member for the 10th Trans Bn. We stayed in touch through his retirement and his outstanding tenure with the TC Museum Foundation. Jim was a true example of a competent and loyal Army transporter and will be sorely missed.

Mr Rockey always sat in front of us at Wednesdays daily mass at St Kateri. He was a faithful servant of our Lord and I know the Lord has reunited him with his wife. Blessing to his family as her watches over you!
