Rogers, James Britt We celebrate the life and grieve the death of James Britt Rogers, Ann Arbor, who died May 11. Born in 1945, some of Jim's best early memories were on the family farm with his cousins. Raised in West Virginia, as "Jimmy," he and his parents Dorothy and Charles and sister Carol...

Not sure what to say?

My name is Stephen Verduzco, I am from Los Angeles and to be honest I had only spoken to Mr Rogers a few times. I was a good friend of his son Jeff. I am so many years late on this, and I hope it finds Mel, Jeff or Julie. My heart hurts for the family, I know what James meant to Jeff and I know how much Jeff looked up to his father. I know how much Mel was committed as a wife and mother. I pray for the family and offer anything to the family. If this message does not reach anyone, I just hope...

Jim and I were army buddies at Fort Meade for almost three years. We shared an apartment on Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring, MD and commuted to work at NSA in his red Corvair and my green MG Midget. We went skiing in the Poconos, to the beaches of Delaware and Maryland and explored all the museums of Washington, D.C. With great sadness, I mourn the passing of Jim Rogers, my fabulous boyfriend from East Grand Rapids High School. Jim saw me through some of the best years of my life with intelligence, humor and grace. I will never forget him. I´m proud to have introduced him to Terry. Rest in peace, Jim, and thank you for your wisdom and love. Pattie Ladd

Cluster of 50 Memorial Trees

What a beautiful and touching Memorial service for Jim by his loving family and Faith Family! Jim may not walk this earth but his presence lingers in the Greenview/Pioneer Nature Area, in the beauty that he helped create and care-take. He truly made this world a better place! May God hold you all in God's Big Loving Hands and grant you peace and comfort!

Single Memorial Tree

We are so sorry for the loss of you husband and father. He is at peace with God. Saying prayers for your family.

Mr. Rogers (as he was known to me at 8 or 9 when I met him!) was an incredibly kind man and I remember him fondly from my childhood friendship with Jeff. Sending the whole family lots of love as you nagivate this loss.

Jim is one of my favorite memories from the 10-years my family lived at Greenview. He will be missed.
