James Rose

I lived across the street from Jim when he lived in Delaware, Ohio. At the time, both of us were police officers, Jim was working for the city of Delaware, and I was an Ohio State Trooper. We had some good times together talking about work and sharing experiences. Jim was a good man and a good neighbor. We didn't keep in touch as much in the later years. I'm sure he will be missed by all that knew him.

The only thing that truly needs to be said is that Jim was a good man. I hadn't known him very long, just about a year, and we truly didn't interact regularly but for the last four months. I can truly say however, that Jim became more than just someone I worked with. He was a friend. We would talk daily, mostly not work related. Sometimes about family, philosophy, or just the things we had going. He was a kind person and someone who had an impact on the lives of many people. He will...

Last year, at our 50th class reunion, Jim brought a bottle of whisky (Crown Royal?), but wouldn't let us open it. He had us all sign it, and said we would open it at our next reunion, and raise a glass to the classmates we lost. I guess we'll be raising it for you, Jim. I won't wait. I'm raising one to you today.
