Not sure what to say?

In high school, coach Routson was my role model.
I wanted to be a math teacher and a coach. I didn't quite make that, but most important we both have the same Lord and savior. class of 66.At the banquet he said the nicest things

Our hearts go out to the family of Jim, he will be so missed by many. May the wonderful memories you have help ease the pain you feel now

You hear people say one person can't make a difference. This man did. Over and over and with countless people. He was a true blessing to every person he encountered. He was one of GOD'S best. My sincere condolences to his family.

Maggie and I were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
He was always such a positive and upbeat person we liked seeing him at faculty functions. Always a smile, he made you know that he was glad to see you.
Janet, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to Janet and Jim's family. Jim and I were classmates at Clay and BGSU. We both went into teaching and coaching and I know what a positive influence he was to his students and athletes. When Jim played basketball at Clay and I was a cheerleader, I could see his leadership qualities as a team player. May his family and friends keep his legacy in their hearts and minds forever.

Jim was an excellent women's basketball coach. There were many ladies whom he coached who went on to play college basketball. Thanks for all the time he put into coaching and teaching both on and off the court. May the Lord be with you and you Family.

Jim Routson was a great ambassador for Clay High School as a student, athlete and later as coach and teacher. My brother Larry was in Jim's class and I got to know him. In high school, I remember going with Jim's parents and future wife Janet to a Mid-American Conference championship game at Dayton University against Miami of Ohio to see Jim play.
The last time I saw Jim was 2012 when he and Janet attended my sister Debbie's funeral at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church and...
