It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don't agree. The wounds remain. Time - the mind, protecting its sanity - covers them with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone - RK 6 years. My hero still. My mentor still. Miss you as much today as the day you left. Cant wait to run into those big arms once again one day.

My dad was my hero. He was my rock. Honest to the core and always willing to help anyone, no matter what their skin tone, last name, race or religion. But when he helped you, you'd have to be ready for a firm handshake and an invitation to church. One of the last true pioneers of East Texas, my dad was known by people all over the area and very well respected. A devout Christian man he always put God first followed closely by his family.
