Pat,
I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was truly one of the nicest men I have ever known. Seeing his smile around the Rath building would always brighten my day. I will remember him fondly.

Jimmy, we hardly knew ye. Husband, father, brother, cousin and friend. You filled these roles with grace, humor and wit. Never at a loss for words or a timely comment, you made life interesting and decidely better for all of those around you.

Even handed and quiet of nature, you held...

To have known Jim was a favor passed from God. A man of joy and happiness who seemingly took nothing and no-one too seriously. There just wasn't time. We worked together for many years, and just knowing he was around would make the day go more quickly, make a gray sky bluer and make the burdens much lighter. Few have ever been his match. A good man who will be missed. Slán go fóill, Jim. Goodbye for now.

Jim Ryan. One of the nicest guys God ever created. Kind, intelligent, quick-witted and gentle. He was my first boss when I joined the county and quickly became my all-time favorite person and a good friend. He always had time to answer a question, quell a concern or offer up a quip that would have you laughing. Being from South Buffalo we were able to share lots of great drinking stories and wise guy remarks. I'm going to miss you friend. I'm glad your pain is gone.

Sorry to hear about Jim's passing. Jim was my supervisor in HEAP from 1993-1998. Great man loved his gentle nature and kind spirit. May God's peace comfort you today and always
