I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim and I first met as medics in the Oregon National Guard and eventually both of us started working at PGE. He was a fine man and always fun. My sincere condolences, Bob Thorn

Jim and I were friends in the early '60's in Salem and I remember how he was always smiling and laughing when we were together. He and I, along with Ken bought a 13 foot sail boat together. Even though non of us knew how to sail, we put the boat into the Willamette river in Portland and set sail. we had fun going down the river and had to paddle back to the ramp, as we didn't know how to tack in the wind. We also had fun drag racing our cars. Yes, he was always a very caring person!

I knew and was friends and at one time roomate with Jim. He was so many things, but one that I remember most was his intelect/ very smart. Once when I was in Portland my car broke down so I phoned Jim. He drove to Portland, fixed my car on the spot. What more of a friend could one ask for!
