Karin, David and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He and I worked together at Portsmouth and we maintained contact with each other through various emails over the years, with the last one being in January of this year. He always spoke so proudly of his family and you could see the love in his eyes that he felt in his heart. We had many things in common, tea, motorcycles, sports cars and even the colectomy, which I had done a year prior to his operation. Who would have...

Dear Mr. Sabin,

I met you only briefly and unfortunately even so I am a Doctor I was not able to help you, when it came to the worst. I am deeply sorry about that and I can only hope, that everything changed for the better for you and that your wife and your son will cope with this loss, because I am sure this would be what you want. I am very sorry I could not say good bye personally.

Karin and David

Jim provided me with guidance and inspiration when I tried to succeed him at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was always helpful and provided me with any assistance I requested both personal and professional. I am deeply saddened by your loss. Jim was universally well-liked and respected here. Please accept my condolences

Dear Karin, David and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Jim was a special person to me and I will never forget him! I always admired his unassuming way and how he helped everyone. The world will be less bright without Jim.

Love,
Mindy
