I considered Eddie a great friend. We grew up together in Tucumcari, attended church, and worked at the city pool together. He also played the piano and organ at my wedding. He was a very sincere and caring person. He was so patient with the small children in swimming lessons and could get those most frightened of the water swimming by the end of their session.
