James "Jes" Savadge
James Ervin Savadge (Jes), 85, of Cream Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully at his daughter's Lawrenceville home on March 20, 2016. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a veteran of the US National Guard. He worked as a master carpenter before joining the NJ State Police. Jes graduated the 43rd class from the NJ State Police Academy, Badge #1228. His last assignment was as Deputy Troop Commander of Troop C and retired at the rank of Lieutenant after 32 years of service. Jes participated and organized many state police activities during his career and throughout his retirement. One of his favorite gatherings was the annual Former Trooper's Association picnic where he enjoyed the camaraderie of former and active troopers. He was a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge, No. 28 F & A M.
Son of the late Edgar and Anna (Woods) Savadge, he was predeceased by his brothers, Edgar and Robert Savadge. Jes is survived by his 5 children, Jesse Savadge, James Savadge, Diane and her husband, Thomas Niebudek, Carl and his wife, Regina, Nancy and her husband, Bill Cuadra, who both took loving care of dad for the past year in their home; his grandchildren, Nicole Niebudek, DMD and her husband, Eric Dwojak, Justin and Andrew Niebudek, Melissa Cuadra Reading and her husband, Kevin, Jason Cuadra, Brittney Cuadra Novak and her husband, David, and Leslie and Carl Savadge; great-grandchildren Makayla and Kevin M. Reading III; special niece Joann Krell, as well as several other nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
A memorial service will be held 11am, Thursday, March 24th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown, with a masonic service to follow. Friends may call from 9am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State Police Family Assistant and Support for Troopers at SPFAST P.O. Box 43 Sea Girt, NJ 08750. http://www.spfast.com/

To the Savadge Family...it is with great sadness to hear of Jessie's passing. As a young trooper back in the day, I had the privilege of working for LT in the "hay days" at Fort Dix/Bordentown...the mentoring and experiences I had with him were priceless ( and classic )...he ALWAYS had your back; a troopers trooper!He was loved and will truly be missed...
