Margot and Family:
Three of our children had the good fortune to be Lakeridge students when Jim was principal. Because of the man he was and the teachers he had working for him, they received a quality education that reaps benefits for them to this day. He was approachable to the parents as well, and made our Lakeridge years a very rewarding experience. He was one of the great ones.
Our love and prayers are with you.

A great man and I was privileged to have him in my life.

Jim was a man of great integrity and compassion as well as being a friend to all. I never heard him once utter an unflattering word about anyone. Art and I greatly admired him. We send our prayers and condolences to Margot, Cathy, John and Jim and their families.

Margot and family; My sincerest condolences to you all. As you may remember, Jim was the greatest mentor I and others could ever have to guide us in our professional and personal Iives. I regret not hearing of his passing soon enough to attend his funeral service.

Peggy and I will never forget the warm welcome we received upon our arrival to Lakeridge. Jim was a great role model. His wit, sense of ceremony and honor and his support were very nurturing to me in my initial years of ed admin. The lessons learned were of immense value and influence during my career. I will always remember and value his loyalty and friendship. He was a gentleman.

Our prayers are with you, Magot, as you and your family enter a new stage without Jim. I want you to know that I worked under dozen different principals in my career and Jim was by far the best of them! I have thought of him often as his health declined and will miss him too.

My thoughts and prayers go to Margo and the family. I feel so fortunate and blessed I was able to see and talk to Jim shortly before his passing. He will be missed.

Jim Schell was a man of great integrity and provided me with tremendous support as I began my tenure as the superintendent of schools in Lake Oswego. I have always had great respect for Jim and always appreciated all that he did to maintain the exceptional quality of our schools.

Being secretary to Jim was a wonderful experience - the best boss I ever had. Those were the "golden years" at Lakeridge I'm sure. His leadership was outstanding, along with his compassion and wit. He will be missed, but we will all hold the memories. My prayers to Margot, Cathy, John and Jim
