Julia and Family,
I had the pleasure of getting to know Jim when he workded at the Country Oaks Kids Center. What a wonderful man! Jim bonded with my son Gabel, who wasn't even a year old at the time, almost instantly. Whenever I would come through the door to pick Gabel up after exercising, there Jim was with Gabel. Sometimes he would be playing with him, but usually just walking around with him in his arms. Gabel just loved him! He was so attached to Jim. Jim left to go work at...

I am a team mate of Jim's in the Asics Aggie Running club. I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I remember him well at the races. The running club has been sharing thoughts about Jim via email. The following appears on the club web site:
Brother James Scheuermann passed away from an auto accident in Sacramento on September 19th. Unheralded as an athlete Jim made a definite contribution to the club. Jim always wore his Aggie uniform with pride. He always represented the club at...

I know I have already left an entry, but what I really enjoyed during Jim's funeral was to hear some of the memories of Jim that he shared with others, some I heard for the first time. If anyone has a favorite memory that they would like to share in this guest book that I can print out to keep we would treasure them.

Today I received the news that Jim is no longer with us. I worked with Jim in the daycare center at the County Oaks Gym in Woodland. We worked many shifts together and we always had such a great time visiting about our kids. I know what a devoted father he was and I also know what a hard worker he was. I truly admired his devotion to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Jim will always hold a special place in my heart.

I had the honor of being Jim's wife for thirteen years and he is a remarkable man who was a wonderful husband, brother, father and friend. I only wish I could have made more memories and spent more days with him. I know that he has peace now with God. Thank you for all your loving messages and I know Jim would want us to just stop and be thankful for all our loved ones and the special times we spent with him. He would want us to treasure every second of every day as if it were our last.

I have known Jim and family since 1985 and forever will remember his big brown eyes, enormous smile and beautiful soul. I am so happy he found Julia and they built such a beautiful life together and pray those loving and wonderful memories will ease the pain down the road. God Bless and we are all here for you...Blake Spicer.

My buddy Jimmy, was one of a kind. My fond memories of our days on the soccer field, in school, our trips to San Diego, and the little house we lived in while we grew from boys to men will be my greatest treasure. I will be sharing several pictures I dragged out of the dusty boxes in my garage with you all, and should the children want to hear some more funny stories about there father, I will gladly share them all!!! I miss you bud!!!!
