One of my favorite musician friends since moving to the MS Coast in 2001 . Jim and I were force to be reckoned with for many years as a rhythm section , tuba and drums, in Dixieland Jazz down here ! Every funky Nawluns drum beat I laid down was picked up by him and matched on tuba . I'm so glad that I got to play with him one last time back in November . I already miss him ! Dr. Schnur was one of the kindest men I ever met. Worked with him at USM. I never chanced to see him in years since that he did not take the time to stop and speak. My sympathy to his family.
