            James Anthony “Tony” Schwartz, 72, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.


            He was born on July 25, 1953, to the late James “Jimmy” Schwartz and Sue Chaffin Schwartz Smith.  He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Tony was a 1972 graduate of Henderson City High School and a 1976 graduate of ITT Technical Institute where he received an associate degree in electronic engineering.


            He participated in the broadband fiber optic internet wireless communication for 28 years with JB Corporation, Hughes Network, Dish, Leslie Engineering, and Apex Digital.  For the last two years, Tony worked for T&T Drug Store.


            Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert E. Chaffin and Rosealie Steinwach Chaffin; his paternal grandparents, William A. and Lora Snodgrass Schwartz; two uncles, Charles Schwartz and Joseph Schwartz; and his ex-wife, Brenda Stone Schwartz Whitledge.


            Survivors include his wife of more than 33 years, Sherri; four sons, Robert Adam Schwartz of Henderson, Kentucky, Jordan Mitchell Schwartz (Ashley) of Evansville, Indiana, Christopher M. Schwartz of Henderson, Kentucky, and Bryan A. Schwartz of Saint Gabriel, Louisiana; two brothers, Larry L. Schwartz of Henderson, Kentucky, and Gary W. Schwartz of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren, Dayne Adam Schwartz and Daxon Robert Schwartz, both of Henderson, Kentucky, Remi Lee Schwartz and Rowan Mitchell Schwartz, both of Evansville, Indiana, Aiden M. Schwartz of Niagara, Kentucky, Dalton J. Schwartz of Spottsville, Kentucky, and Gemma Kinkade of Benton, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Dallas Jace Schwartz and Bentley James Schwartz, both of Niagara, Kentucky; nieces and nephews; and cousins.


            Services will be at noon Monday, December 22, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Burial will be in St. Peter of Alcantara Cemetery in Stanley, Kentucky.


            Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
