Jim was a beloved interim pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield, VT. As chair of the church governing board, I had the honor and privilege of working closely with him. What a blessing! He was a rare pastor who exuded love and joy. When he entered the room, one felt the "Son" shining through. He and Beverly loved our church through a very difficult time. We loved Jim and considered him a treasured friend. He was a truly good man, and not at all "preachy" even though he was a preacher. He had a great sense of humor, a deep sense of fairness, and heart full of love. Our town of Windham was blessed to have him settle here, and we were blessed to have known him.

My condolences to the Scott’s family. I thank God for the pleasure of knowing Rev. Scott and accepting me to Bethany Baptist Church since 1993 with a heartfelt love. A pastor that knows your name and struggles. Rest In Peace God’s Blessed Servant. You will be missed.
