Not sure what to say?

I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of SSG Semple's passing. Jim was one of the funniest and most memorable people that I met in the Army, and I have many great memories of time spent with him, as do we all. I offer my deepest sympathies for Jim's family.

I am so sorry to hear that Jim passed away suddenly. He was a good guy. I was the manager of the Cincinnati, Oh. RRB office, retiring in 2009. I knew Jim as I had come from the Cleveland office and had met him at one of the informational conferences. He knew my dad, Chief Francis Szabo, Parma Police Dept. and Colonel of the Army Reserve Intelligence Unit in Parma.
I pray you will be comforted knowing all that there are a lot of people who liked him.
Jeff Szabo, Cincinnati, Oh.

Please accept my condolences at this most difficult time. I work for the RRB in Buffalo, NY, and had the pleasure of being in two training classes with Jim at our headquarters in Chicago. He was funny, wise, had a strong work ethic but most importantly, so devoted to his family (this was evident by the way he would surround his desk with photos of his wife and kids). God bless you all.

I was deeply saddened to learn of SSG Semple's premature death. Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies to his family. I feel for you all. He was a good man.(From SGM Jim Parker's widow)

Please let me express my deepest condolences to you and your family. SSG Semple was one of the first people to welcome me to the unit. Always a joy to talk to and a great soldier. He will be missed, but never forgotten. God Bless you and keep you well Jim.

Debbie -
My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and the kids. Jim was a great man. It was an honor to serve with him and a blessing to know him. His wisdom, dedication to duty and most of all his friendship and humor will be greatly missed.

God bless you and give you strength and comfort in the days ahead.

SSG Semple - thank you for taking pity on this young LT. God bless you. We'll miss you.

I am so sorry Deb. Our family's prayers are with you and your children.

Jim was a good soldier and a good friend. He will be missed. I am sorry that I could not get to Cleveland. Please except my condolences.

SSG Jame Semple was a leader of great measure in our unit who trained, inspired, motivated and earned the respect of uncountable soldiers throughout his military career. During the time we served in the 350th, his wisdom, courage, and honor could not be paralleled. He always had a smile, even when he was stern. He was compassionate, energetic, and dedicated to the mission without question. To know him as a soldier, a comrade, or as a friend was nothing less than a great honor. I salute SSG...
