Not sure what to say?

They will never be forgotten by me and my partner John Reed. Their murders occurred on our beat 1816. We never went into 1150-1160 without thinking of our lost brothers. Our condolences once again to the Severin and Rizzato families.

ALTHOUGH I NEVER MET JIM OR HIS PARTNER TONY RIZZATO I REMEMBER THE GRIEF AND SHOCK WE HAD THAT DAY. MAY JIM AND TONY REST IN PEACE. RETIRED CAPTAIN TOM FARAGOI

So sad. I remember that day. I was a rookie, fresh out of the academy for about a month. It's hard to believe 41 years have passed. 1970 was a bad year for cops killed in the line of duty. They have found peace with God.

Even after all these years ,Jim will always be remebered. A friend from CARL SCHURZ

I will never forget that day. Keep the memory alive. Rest in peace brothers.

I have never forgotten and never will! Keep the good memories as I have.

Even after 41 years, their memory is kept alive by members of the Chicago Police Dept.
The term, "Always Remembered" are more than mere words, moreover an honor and duty.
Rest in Peace, Sgt. Jim Severin and Officer Tony Rizzato.
You will always be remembered as... "Chicago's Finest."

I remember this murder like it was yesterday! I joined in 1973 because of guys like Sgt. Severin and Ptlmn. Rizzato. May God hold these Officers in the palm of his hands.

Respectfully,
R.W. McCarthy
