To family and friends: I am a high school classmate of Jim's, and even though we had not kept in touch over the years, I remember him as a bright, funny and engaging guy. Our class celebrated its 50th reunion last summer, and this is when Jim reconnected with all of us via e-mail, informing us of his illness and his regrets for not being able to attend. Lana,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jim was a wonderful, kind man who took special interest in every person who worked at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. His leadership always motivated people to do their best, because it was the right thing to do for the patient, their family, and for the fiscal health of the hospital. I am grateful I had an opportunity to work with him.

I began working at WyandotteHosp in September 2001. What impressed me the most about this man was that he knew everyone by name and department. Whenever I saw him in the hall he would greet me and ask how everything was going in admissions & transfers. I believe that the atmosphere of a work place trickles down from management. The atmosphere at Wyandotte Hosp made that period of my life one of the most satisfying -career-wise,that I have experienced. I know he will be missed.

While working with Jim at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital I truly learned the meaning of World Class Service Excellence and Leadership. He was a strong promoter and supporter of a Service Excellence Culture and it showed during his tenure. Please extend my sympathy to his family and friends.-Theresa Crump
