Fr.Jim, You will be truly miss by me and my family since the last 47 years. You are truly man of God and I am truly blessed to have know you. Mother of Christ will truly miss you and your sermons. Tara ,Kayla, Elijah, Kara lin, and RJ Irby.

You were always there for my Mom and Dad. Your prayers, kindness and caring helped make their journey to heaven a peaceful one! I know they are excited to see you. I will always remember your loving smile!

What an honor to have known you Fr. Jim. I have another angel now watching over me and my family. Your gentle spirit and infectious smile will be missed. I am sure Sam was glad to see you. I would bet he met you with a plate of pasta! Heaven is having a party!

He was a good man and will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace. The only priest to ever make a good impression on me.First communion, confirmation, baptised two of my children, My marriage and lots of family funerals. He was there guiding us through all life's hurdles.I only found out many years after my marriage that he didn't think it would last. 34 years later and still hanging in there.I guess he did a much better job counseling us than he thought.Heaven truly called another one of it's angels home.

Pastor, teacher and friend. Your wisdom and calm demeanor will be missed. I know when Fr. Jim entered the gates of heaven, he heard..."Well done, good and faithful servant".

Father Shappelle was and always will be there for me and my family. He was there during the highest times baptisms of children, weddings, and graduations. And he was there during the lowest times (death of husband and daughter). I will forever love him. Rest in Peace Fr Jim.
