Dorothea, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He was a wonderful man. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Shea,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Boston when you served with the BFD. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then during the War that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I never met your dad Dorothea, but I felt I knew him through you. Wish I could've tipped a glass or two to and with him. He led a long and meaningful life with service to country and community and of course to his family, not much more could be asked! It's hard now, but focus on the joys and triumphs of a life well lived and keep his legacy flourishing.

I met a good man towards the end of his life. We spoke of an era in which we lived. Our values and struggles were much the same. I thank Kerrie for my meeting him.
