Not sure what to say?

Sincere sympathy on the passing of an extraordinary man. He made a mark on so many students. My high school days are a long time ago with the EOHS Class of 1965, and I remember him well. The Sherman family will be in my prayers.

Many of us who were Mr. Sherman's students at EOHS will remember him as a great teacher and friend. I attended Epiphany as a young girl and had no idea he was a member there as well.
Peace be with the family. May the knowledge that he was held in high regard by so many whose lives he touched be a comfort you.
Sincerely, Melba

To the family, please accept my condolences and the sorrow that I will not be able to attend the funeral. Jim and I attended E.O. High together and both members of Epiphany. He was a man before his time when he tried to introduce Black history in the high school. May he rest in peace. Well done

Mrs. Sherman and family, I would like to express my condolences on the passing of your husband and father, James Sherman. I'm originally from East Orange, and a member of the Men of Essex. Jim was always a positive influence in my life. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral, but I will lift you and your family in my prayers. Peace and God bless.

Sincerely,
Raymond N. Paris
