To the Family of Deacon James Simpkins:
Deacon James Simpkins created a positive impact in the lives of many young men when he organized the Jr. Deacon's Ministry at Sardis Baptist Church, a Christian servant training ministry for young men. Mr. Simpkins and I worked together at Bottenfield Middle School. He always brought a smile into the building. He would peek his head in and inquire about the students from his bus route. He did that because we cared darely for them. That was the type of man he was. After attending his funeral on Tuesday, I knew he was indeed a true man of God, because everyone said the same thing. Mr. Simpkins was a good man! We will miss him!!!

JO as I knew him. Meet and worked with JO at the Crestline Post Office. He was always happy and kidding around. He brought joy to the place. Prayers go out to the Simpkins family duing this time of lost. Gone but never forgotten.

Mr Simpkins will truly be missed. As with many youth growing up at Sardis, his love, support, and Christian example helped to shape me and my sister into the women we are today. Our prayers are with the Simpkins family.
