Not sure what to say?

I have had the ability to visit the Canyon Ranch several times since Jim passed. Every time I am there, my mind imagines his spirit still there as the signature of his stewardship of the land is still evident being passed down and kept alive by son Steve and grandson Daniel. What more can you ask for than having the results of proper management of your part of the earth become a legacy for all to see. Rest in Peace, Jim.

I remember Jim when I was building cabinets for the Palm Street Law offices.
Jim was often there checking on progress of construction and very much involved in the project. He was a man who appreciated good work. and was quick with a kind word.
Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

As County Directer for UC Cooperative Extension I always enjoyed visiting with Jim. He was always interested in the information I would bring him re new research from UC. Jim was a marvel I think I learned more from him than he learned from me He will be missed

Jimmy will always be remembered as a true gentleman. A conservative Steward of our precious planet. Always willing to help out and get things done for the betterment of our communities. Shandon where I grew up will miss him deeply. He was like a coparent. My parents Bill Roe family treasure his guidance and lifetime commitments. Norma was always a pleasure knowing and being with. Together they were a Team. His entire family is in my heart and prayers.

James Sinton was a fantastic gentle man. He and my Father were close and we oftentimes had Easter egg hunts at their home. The Sinton's are a remarkable family and I honor and cherish them. I was lucky enough over the past few years to take a trip to Shandon and I went right up to the Sinton home and Jim came out and we had a delightful conversation. Prayers to the family and again I am honored to have known this remarkable man.

Gail, Patty & Steve. We were so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. What a wonderful story. He was a large part of Shandon. My mom and I have fond memories whien we lived in Shandon. 53-61. Wanted to thank Jim, Steve and Jack for letting us scatter some of dads ashes where his shop was. Hopefully your memories will ease your loss. Gara Jessup and Barbara Jessup Sally.

Jim was a man who left a great legacy. His stewardship of the land will be evident forever. His integrity and his well mannered demeanor will be remembered by all who knew him. He was one of my father's closest friends and I too had the advantage of being in his company at times in his later years. I will also have the memories of going to the Canyon Ranch feedlot with my father on Saturdays as a young boy when he, Jim and his brother Si would go through the cattle they partnered...
