Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear about Jim. I worked with Jim at ETC/SCAN, but unfortunately had not spoken to him in several years. One of my fondest memories is the Slattery Award at SCAN when Jim, the first recipient, bought drinks for all with his award money.

My sympathy to his family & friends.

I would like to express my condolences to Jim's family.

I enjoyed the privilege of playing tennis with Jim at Lower Woodlands. His infectious smile will be remembered by all.

He was one of a rare breed that never had anything negative to say about anybody except for criticizing himself when he didn't hit the ball quite the way he wanted to.

I'm sure he's in Heaven smiling down on us and cheering us on.

He will be sorely missed.

He was an...

Sad to hear of another death for the Slattery family, so shortly after Mrs. (Kay) Slattery. Acquainted through our families in the Fairview-Chicopee Mass section as part of the large and small Westover AFB commnity. Can barely just remember 'Jimmy' as the younger red-headed brother of Ed & Michaela who were a year and two behind me at Cathedral High School. My mother - Dorothy Connolly also remembered him and your family, and was especially aware of your mother, her teaching and crafts. ...

I've known Jim for close to 20 years, first through volleyball and then over the years as a regular at our "King Carrot" party and periodic wine tastings, etc. I loved him and am so very saddened that he's gone. I hope someone can let me know what happened?

Jim was one of the nicest people I know: very smart, fantastic sense of humor (very dry) and a good friend. We had some great years dancing after volleyball games -- I always considered Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the...

I had the pleasure of being part of the ETC/SCAN family and always enjoyed Jim's great laugh and sense of humor. My favorite memory of Jim is when we videotaped a humorous spoof called "Mr. Slattery's Neighborhood". Jim knew how to have fun and he will be missed.

To the family, my deepest sympathy. We friends will all also miss Jim enormously.
I worked with Jim for many years at SCAN. I will never forget his laughter and humor. Jim was never one to pull punches either, his first response to many of the changes we wanted to make to the system was "That is the dumbest idea I ever heard." I will miss you Jim.

Dear Family,
I'm a cyber-friend of Michaela and I offer my condolences to all of you.
Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. May you soon know comfort in the midst of your sorrow.
Sincerely,
Mary

Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss. While I had not spoken to Jim in a few years, I certainly did enjoy working with him. Jim touched the lives of many people and he will be missed by all.
