James Wilcox Smith 75, of Decatur passed away at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St Jude Place,

Jim was born February 26, 1941, in Decatur, IL the son of George P. and Helen (Wilcox) Smith. He retired as an independent truck driver.
Surviving are his sons: William "Bill" Smith of Macon and Jason Smith of Decatur; also surviving is his loving companion: Donna Rhodes of Decatur; and his two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donna, Bill, and Jason....So sorry for your loss. Cadillac was part of our family for a very long time here at Peterson's and we are saddened to the bone about losing him. I'm sure he's cutting up with his long lost buddies Max, Herman, Russ and many others....I bet Grandpa Cledis met him at the gates. Gone but never forgotten...10-4
