Not sure what to say?

I will miss you Jim. You have been such a friendly helpful neighbor and friend for all of us in our neighborhood. You always had a cheerful hello and would ask "Do you still live here?" Such a nice man.

Jim lived across the street from me. He always honked whenever he passed me working in my yard. We had many friendly, reassuring conversations whenever we bumped into each other during morning walks. He often asked about my husband " the old man." I was shocked to hear from my nextdoor neighbor this afternoon that Jim had passed away. I will miss his ever-ready smile and his optimism. My heartfelt and sincerest condolences to family.

Another memory of Smitty: He not only put in my Ring for the house but after many attempts of my son and son in law trying to fix it, Smitty came over and got it to working in about 10 minutes. My son, who has a PhD in EE, was shocked and pleased. Smitty never gave up on anything. He kept at it till it was done. He fixed things at my house that I never knew were broken. He was such a good man!!

Dear sweet Joy, I always knew if Shelby or Trent were participating in a sporting event, Jim would not be far away. He was so attentive and loving for you all. I feel the your ache and loss of "Big Jim".

I have many memories of Jim (Smitty) as I called him. At my grandson's wedding,, after much begging, he finally decided to dance. He loved it and didn't want to stop. My children had such a fondness for him. He took on all the fixings of my house and relieved them of this chore. Such a sweet and hard working man. I will miss him so much.
