Not sure what to say?

My son, Tyler and I were just reminiscing how sweet Jim was to him as a 3 year old, when he was the assistant manager at the Ice House (44 years ago). Jimmy would watch cartoons with him and make him grenadine drinks and call them Spiderman or Hulk. The earth lose a great human when he passed....

Jimmy we will never, ever forget you and your laughs at the Ice House. Jeff and I had our rehearsal dinner there in 1996. Every thing was great. You and Jeff played hockey together. You will NEVER be forgotten! Love, Rloxie

Smully,
You have been in my thoughts a lot the last few days. From The Kirkwood to walking by the Ice House after the fireworks. It just isn't the same without that smile and an occasional "hey pal". Thanks for all you taught me about living life to the fullest. You will never far from my thoughts. I miss you my friend.

MY DEAR BROTHER,
I PRAY TODAY THAT I HAVE JUST A SMALL PART OF YOUR GOODNESS ,STRENGTH,HEART AND SOUL THAT WILL GET ME THROUGH THE DAY WITH THE GRACE AND DIGNITY THAT YOU EXHIBITED THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BLESSED TO HAVE THE CANDER TO DISCLOSE MY INNER MOST THOUGHTS AND FEARS WITH YOU. PLEASE GUIDE ME THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I LOVE YOU JIMMY.

I just had dinner last night at the Ice House and asked about Smully not knowing of his passing. The news hit me like a boulder. I met Jim though the Vermont golf world and played in many of the same tourneys. He always made me feel like I was the most important person at that moment. Jim was one of the true "good guys". My condolences to his family. I know I am a better person for having the honor of crossing paths with such a wonderful man

It is a great loss for all of us who knew Jim, but I also hope we can all be comforted by the wonderful memories we have of Jim when he was with us. I am sure the class of '76 will offer a time to remember him when we gather together this summer.

Smully was my coach for the Glades from 2003-2005. He was such an inspiration to me and always pushed me to do the best I could. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I will never forget all the laughs my teammates and I shared with Smully! Smully will always be in my heart and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Chris and Family: Know our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of grief. We share it with you. Jim was a true fighter and gave it his all and we all saw how strong he was. What a true testament to his family. He was a great coach and family man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love to you all, Tony & Mary Kinson

Dear Chris, Jackie and Austin,
We just heard about Jim this evening. We are so very sorry to hear that Jim lost his battle with cancer. You were so good to Brett, we called him immediately, and he too was very sorry to hear the news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
