Jim South has been a long-time favorite person in my life. The first time I saw him was when I was in the 6th grade in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. His future wife, Miss Jacobson, was my beloved teacher. One day he was waiting outside our classroom door for Miss Jacobson. This was very exciting for us 6th graders – to see our teacher's boyfriend standing there.

It was my very good fortune to keep in touch with Jim and Mary South all my life. We have visited in...

It is very sad to realize that both Mary and Jim are no longer with us. They were the best co-chairs we could have had for our class reunions. They gave us the push we needed. We will miss seeing them at the lake every summer. Marge and Warren Opperman, Fargo ND July 19, 2013

I'M THINKING OF ALL OF YOU WITH PRAYERS OF GOD'S COMFORT, GWEN

My deepest sympathies to the South Family, from our family. We love you and will will miss you deeply. The Sopotnick's

We remember Jim and Mary and all the good times in Pelican Bay.

Deepest sympathy to all of Jim's family. I worked with him as a volunteer for many years at Hospice. He was so fun to work with & Mary was a delight to be around also. Those of us that worked there on Mon. became a "family" and enjoyed many good times outside of our Hospice work. He was a true gentleman and I know he will be missed by so many people. May God give you the comfort he can provide now.
