It has been a year without your guidance, sharing and laughing. I can hear the words now just as then "you have a great family" "take good care of them" Let us all remember his last wish for all of us. Happy Anniversary Dad I hope and pray the family is with you and god's eternal peace has been granted upon to you. Keep checking in from time to time I can always use your support. The kids went to honor you with a movie today. Not one you would pick but I know you will like it for them. ...

Margie and Family,
I just learned today of the passing of your Dad. My sister sent me a CYO Newsletter with a tribute to him. We extend our belated sincere sympathy. I have fond memories of you and your family.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Sovacool family,
I was paging through the Hoban Highlights and saw the note of the Big Guy's passing. I am deeply sorry. We used to talk at camp about "The Giants" and Jim truly was one. He was a giant presence wherever he went and he filled a room like no one else. I could never help but want to show him how much I appreciated him.
When I left college and applied for my first "real job,” I put Jim down as a reference. It was in sales and I was probably too young for the...

Dear Sovacool Family:
We were sad to hear the news of Jim's passing. We have many fond memories of long ago summers at Camp Christopher and the weekly visits of Jim. He was one of those bigger than life individuals whose devotion to community service had a lasting impact on many of us who worked at Camp Christopher in the mid-1970s. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Sovacool Family:
My husband and I want to send our sincerest regret at hearing the news of Jim's death. I am sure that he an Winnie are arranging their new "camp" for visitors now! I have so many fond memories of Big Jim and that magical place in Bath, Ohio. He was such an inspiration to so many. I never realized how much he was involved and for so long. To all of the children and grandchildren and families, God bless you and our thoughts and prayers are with you. I feel...

Dear Sovacool Family,
We were so sorry to hear that Jim had passed away. We were out of town all week or we would have been there. We regret not being there to, once again, witness the amazing christopher spirit in any gathering where we are honoring especially those that were the pillars of it.
Your dad fulfilled many of our dreams. He started by coming to our farm with horses when I was little. He said that he loved to see them roll in the fresh grass when they were set free. He made...

To the entire Sovacool family I want to send my prayers to all of you in the loss of this God loving man. I first met him 25 years ago and always found him to be a kind, and caring man. His love for God was inspirational and I am fortunate to have known him and his wife. They will live on forever in our hearts as well as in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Know this and be happy for him.
