Having known Ambassador Spain for over 20 years now, I take this oppurtunity to share with you everything he has been and will continue to be to our family. He's always been a great source of inspiration, encouragement and friendship to us all. His numerous anecdotes and real-life experiences always had us enthralled and never have we had a dull moment in his company. To have met Jim was an honor, his stories about the Middle East were always interesting, and lended a unique historical perspective to today's headlines. Jim was a special man, and his legacy is the wonderful family that follows him.
