Not sure what to say?

Merrell and Jim came to Walpole Island yrs ago to duck hunt. They came here for years. I was their guide. Every time they came here we always had a blast! they always fed me good and we'd share stories of our life. We always had fun and I did my best to give them the best duck hunt ever. I remember one time we were hunting at the lake and 4 ducks came in and when it was time... I yelled NOW!!.. they both pulled the trigger at the same time because I only heard 1 shot... however all 4 ducks...

John, Carol and members of the Splitt family,

I'm truly saddened to hear about your father's passing. I spent many hours behind home plate with your dad back in the 1970's and 1980's. He was an exceptional catcher and gave me a great view of home plate when I called balls and strikes during his team's fast pitch games at Vets Park. More importantly he was a great guy off the field as well. I hope the fond memories you have of your father help you persevere in the days ahead....

The Splitts were fantastic neighbors. Jim and Margaret were kind and generous and we feel lucky to have grown up next door to them. John and Carol, thinking of you with many happy memories of you and your parents.
